Tom Nawrocki

Tom is a native of Buffalo, NY.  He  attended Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY where he majored in Music Education and trumpet performance.

After 10 years in the United States Air Force, Tom has settled down in Charleston, SC where he now works as a Network Design Engineer.

Tom comes from a very musical background...his father directed two choruses in S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. for 25 years.  Tom has been an active Barbershopper since 1986.  He has been in four quartets, and held many positions with the Fort Sumter Harmonizers (SPEBSQSA), and now directs the Southern Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adeline's International.

Tom has directed the chorus since 2000 and has helped the chorus climb the ranks from 15th place to winning Division A 2nd place Chorus medals  at the 2006 and 2010, and winning the 3rd place Division A Chorus medal in 2011along with the The Most Improved Sound Award at Region 14's competition.    At the  2001 Regional Competition, Tom lead the chorus in winning the Most Improved Chorus as well as receiving, for himself, the Sonny Harmon award.  He has been on the Regional Music Faculty for several years, specializing in the sound and expression categories.

Tom enjoys coaching quartets and choruses for both the men and the women.
